An applicant can retrieve the TAN card application status just by sending an SMS to 57575 by writing ‘NSDLTAN’. - Checking Status by Customer Care
One more way in which the TAN card application status can be obtained is just by dialing the TIN Call Center number 020-27218080. The customer care executive will assist and tell you regarding the current application status of your TAN card in exchange for all the required information asked to you.
- Checking Status by Acknowledgement Number
The last way of getting the TAN card application status is by filling up a short online form as follows.
Step 1: Explore the official website of the Tax Information Network feeding the link https://www.tin-nsdl.com/.
Step 2: There you can see the option “TAN” under the “Service” tab. Hit on the link named “TAN”.
Step 3: Further, hover on “Know Status of Your Application” and sound a click.
Step 4: Find “TAN – New / Change Request” and move further.
Step 5: Type in the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NUMBER (14-digits) and also the Captcha shown and hit the “Submit” button.
