On 21st February 2007, five banks, the Gaur Gramin Bank, Mallabhum Gramin Bank, Sagar Gramin Bank, Nadia Gramin bank, and the Murshidabad Gramin Bank merged to form the Bangiya Gramin Vikash Bank. Since then they are working with a great reputation in 11 districts of West Bengal. Right now the bank has 582 branches all over the state.
