How to Apply (APL & BPL) Ration Card Online/Offline in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Vasai-Virar, Aurangabad, Maharashtra
There are certain things which are very essential in our daily lives like food, kerosene, LPG, sugar, rice, etc. So, the government of Maharashtra is providing subsidies in all these items but to get the subsidies the document which you need is the ration card. To help you get the items at controlled rates, there are several fair price shops or rations shops all over the state. These shops are a real blessing for the families who are BPL. The ration card is also used as an identity proof in many government recognized authorizations. There are two ways of applying for a ration card, online and offline in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Vasai-Virar, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Here we are going to describe both the ways.
Online Application Process for Ration Card in Maharashtra:
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of the Department of Food and Public Distribution or you can just click on the link http://164.100.161.157/MH/epds and mahafood.gov.in
- You need to fill all the details of the form correctly like the head of the family and mobile number.
- You have to select your district, taluk, and tehsil along with your village and nearest ration shop.
- You need to authenticate your mobile number by entering the OTP which you will receive in your mobile.
- Now enter the details of the head of the family like address, bank details, and occupation details. Bank details is to get the LPG subsidy.
- After that, fill the details of all family members.
- Upload a scanned photograph of the head of the family along with the scanned copies of all other required documents. You will get the list of documents in the website.
- The head of the family which you are going to select must be the eldest male member of the family.
- Check the form before the final submission for any mistakes.
- When completed, click on the submit button to submit the form.
- The verification will be done by the officials of the Department of Food and Public Distribution.
- If all information are found correct in the verification, you will receive the ration card within 4 weeks.
Offline Application Process for Ration Card in Maharashtra:
- First of all, you have to get the application form for a new ration card. You can get the form at the office of the Department of Food and Public Distribution or their official website. You may click on the link to download and print it. http://mahafood.gov.in/website/PDF_files/Ration%20Card%20Namuna1.pdf.
- Now, fill up the form with all accurate details like name, father’s name, annual family income, phone number, address, and family members details.
- Attach photograph and Xerox copies of all the other required documents with the form. You will get the list of documents in the website.
- Check the form for any mistake and after that submit it to your nearest ration office.
- As a processing fee, you need to attach a Rs 2 court fee stamp with the application.
- The verification will be done by the officials of the Department of Food and Public Distribution.
- If all information are found correct in the verification, you will receive the ration card within a maximum of 30 days.
